They took beautiful tennis courts and converted half of them to pickleball...really?!!

The Grant Park Tennis Courts are overall nice and enjoyable to play on, but they definitely need more regular attention. The court paint is in great condition, but maintenance is lacking β€” leaves and trash often go uncleared, and the newly installed wind blockers are already partially detached. Another big drawback is the lack of public restrooms, which makes longer sessions inconvenient. Parking can also be frustrating, as street parking is frequently restricted during events. With consistent upkeep and a few improvements, these courts could easily become one of the best places to play in the area.

New tennis courts and pickleball courts just opened this week. 16 pickleball courts and 6 tennis courts with full lighting. Always lots of people playing for pickup games!

I really wish I could love these courts. They have awesome views of the city skyline and are surrounded by beautiful trees and greenery. Unfortunately the courts are worn out and the surfaces are in dire need of painting. The courts are playable but the surface is not suitable for a game. It’s unfortunate, they should really invest some money into these courts.

Tennis courts with very nice view of Chicago. However, courts are in very bad shape, playable but with very bad surface.
